The Designer

Nainika Sarda’s journey into jewelry design was shaped by an unexpected yet organic transition—from studying Political Science at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, to discovering a creative calling that led her to the world of jewelry. While her academic background gave her an understanding of culture, identity, and tradition, it was the intricate beauty of mandalas that truly captured her imagination. Their structured symmetry, spiritual depth, and artistic complexity became a bridge between analytical thought and creative exploration, drawing her toward design as a form of expression.

Determined to refine her craft, Nainika pursued a graduate degree in Jewelry Design from Istituto Marangoni London, where she gained a strong foundation in design techniques, material exploration, and craftsmanship. This formal training allowed her to channel her creative instincts into tangible pieces, helping her develop a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for the artistry behind fine jewelry.

Inspired by the intricate patterns of mandalas and the richness of traditional Indian craftsmanship, Nainika’s work is characterized by delicate filigree, vibrant enamel detailing, and luminous mother-of-pearl inlays. She reinterprets timeless motifs into modern, wearable designs that feel both personal and enduring. Each piece she creates is more than an ornament—it is a story, a reflection of both heritage and individuality.

For Nainika, jewelry is not just about aesthetics but about meaning. It is a way to connect the past with the present, to honor tradition while allowing it to evolve. With meticulous attention to detail and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, she creates jewelry that carries a sense of timelessness, allowing each piece to become an intimate part of the wearer’s journey.
